We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.Ambulatory Service's at the Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick is looking for a dynamic Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) with Paediatric experience to join the team. The successful CNE will have the unique opportunity to work across all of Ambulatory Services and the Outpatients department.Ambulatory Services includes Medical Day Unit, Hospital in the Home (HITH), Kids Guided Personalised Services (Kids GPS) and the Acute Review Clinic (ARC). Together we provide specialist care to a variety of patients including those with chronic conditions and children that are acutely unwell.The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of clinical nursing education. The CNE will work in collaboration with the Nursing Manager (NM) and the wider hospital education team to develop and implement clinical education relevant to specialities and basic nursing competencies.
This position is permanent part-time, Thursdays & Fridays (0.37 FTE).What you'll be doingThe Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of clinical nursing education. The CNE will work in collaboration with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) and Nurse Educator (NE) and wider hospital team to develop and implement clinical education relevant to specialities and basic nursing competencies.The CNE will work collaboratively to support clinical education to others outside the ward/ unit when required.Additional information

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer
- Demonstrated effective clinical teaching skills
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical and professional development
- Demonstrated advanced written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of NSQHS Standards relating to education
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate.
