Then you could be the perfect Clinical Nurse Educator to join the professionals at Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network. We’re looking for a Clinical Nurse Educator that has current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia. Someone that holds a relevant clinical or education post registration qualification and/or substantial clinical and educational experience as well as a current NSW Drivers Licence. Importantly, if you are an overseas resident with a temporary visa, please apply. This position will be open to you if no suitable Australian permanent resident or citizen is identified.

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Justice Health NSW’s Graduate Nurse Program team. Our team is committed to the support and development of our workforce in the delivery of quality health care. This opportunity has become available as part of an expansion of the Graduate Nurse Programs. The focus of the Clinical Nurse Educator-Graduate Programs role is to provide clinical support to the nurse education programs across the nursing professional continuum (students and newly registered graduate nurses/enrolled nurses). This support is essential to enhance safe quality care. The CNE will work within Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (JH&FMHN) and Ministry of Health policies, procedures and guidelines as well as Corrective Services NSW or Juvenile Justice NSW rules and regulations as set out in the relevant legislation.

Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
Holds a relevant clinical or education post registration qualification and/or substantial clinical and educational experience.
Clinical experience across a range of health specialties within a hospital/community health/ambulatory setting.
Effective communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Understanding of teaching and adult learning principles in the health care environment.
Demonstrated clinical teaching & facilitation skills and demonstrated knowledge of competency attainment and assessment.
Computer literacy and demonstrated understanding of health services information systems.
Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the values of the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (JHFMHN).
