About the Role
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and working alongside an education team within the organisation, this exciting role will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the educational activities within East Ward, a Surgical Ward caring for Urology and Neurology patients.
The educator role provides a unique opportunity to provide clinical and professional support to the Nurse Unit Manager, nursing staff, visiting students and doctors within the Ward.
Your Key Skills and Experience
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum five years’ experience in an acute environment
- Demonstrated presentation and teaching skills in individual, small and large group settings
- Previous experience in educational and quality activities
- Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude towards learning and professional development
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous policy & competency writing experience
- Post graduate certificate in relevant area
- Hold or working towards a Certificate IV Training & Assessment
