Western Health is currently seeking applications for a part-time Fixed Term (0.8 FTE) Neonatal Clinical Nurse Educator.
Newborn Services, Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s at Sunshine Hospital provides neonatal intensive, high dependency and special care for premature and unwell newborns and their families. In collaboration with the Newborn Services leadership team and the Centre for Education and Learning team, the Neonatal Clinical Nurse Educator will ensure that evidence-based, contemporary care is provided for neonates requiring intensive, high dependency or special care and their families.
To be Successful in this Role you
- Will be registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife
- Need a minimum of 3 years post registration experience in an acute neonatal service
- Will have completed postgraduate qualifications in neonatal intensive care or similar
- Will have the ability to utilise adult learning principles and current education strategies to effectively coordinate and facilitate education activities within Newborn Services for all nursing/midwifery staff including undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate learners as well as for existing staff.
