THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) on a Full-time basis to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in developing and delivering clinical education, particularly in the field of Orthopaedics. In this vital role, the CNE will be a key resource in advancing the careers of our staff by supporting training and development opportunities.

About the role
The CNE will collaborate closely with the MQ Health Academy to plan, develop, and deliver comprehensive education programs, both hospital-wide and within specific departments. A vital part of this role involves fostering a culture of development and inquiry to ensure the ongoing growth and progression of our nursing staff. The role encompasses on-floor teaching and coaching, as well as formal instruction. Therefore, a clear passion and enthusiasm for teaching and knowledge-sharing are essential. The successful candidate will employ a variety of innovative approaches to effectively engage and educate staff.
Key Accountabilities of the role include (not limited to):
Lead the development and delivery of identified education programs across Clinical Services
Collaborate with Clinical and Perioperative CNE’s to coordinate and facilitate identified mandatory education.
Work collaboratively with the MQ Health Academy to develop the capacity of preceptors to support nursing students, new graduate nurses and new nursing staff members
Support NUM’s to coordinate standardised orientation of nursing students and new starters in the department.
Contribute to the development of specialist education resources by providing subject matter expertise.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1-2 page cover letter.
Minimum of 5+ years in a clinical role within clinical/ward services and current experience in teaching or education and a demonstrated commitment to clinical teaching of others
Stakeholder management skills, ensuring that multiple people with different agendas are working efficiently to the same end.
Flexibility and adaptiveness to changing circumstances, and ability to set priorities, establish and achieve agreed objectives.
Effective interpersonal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team with demonstrated strong motivational and problem-solving skills.
Evidence of professional development commensurate with the level of autonomy and authority expected of the position.
Capability to lead others in recording and communicating essential information to nursing colleagues and other health professionals
Demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement and takes an active role in Accreditation processed
Post registration certificate in relevant specialty areas or adult education or equivalent
