Radiology SA (RSA) is a privately owned, Adelaide-based radiology practice, run by radiologists and nuclear medicine specialists for the medical community. With a long history, the Practice currently runs thirteen rooms in the metropolitan area which are conveniently located both North and South of the city, as well as centrally in North Adelaide. We have both outpatient clinics and clinics within some of Adelaide’s busiest Private Hospitals. We offer the full range of Medical Imaging and procedures to outpatients and inpatients.
Committed to providing knowledgeable and professional imaging services that support the best possible outcomes for patients, we are currently looking for a Clinical Nurse (CN)that values the importance of a customer service culture, and feel they can join the team to deliver services with kindness, empathy and respect at our Flinders Private Hospital location.
The CN will provide advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of assigned nursing resources, ensuring quality standards are met. Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Coordinator the CN will be responsible for embedding RSA protocols and departmental procedures, and with dotted line reporting to the site Clinic Director will also have autonomy and flexibility to work with site leadership to establish local approaches to meet site specific nursing and stakeholder management needs.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- internal and external nursing liaison,
- site nursing leadership and team engagement,
- onboarding and induction,
- training and development (including tools),
- performance input and feedback,
- site booking review and resource allocation,
- stock management and ordering, and
- clinical trials support.
Apart from a commitment to high-quality work, exceptional communication and teamwork, to be successful in this role you will need:
- Appointment to this position requires qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Competence and depth of experience exercising nursing skills within their scope of practice and across multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal communications and leadership skills, with a passion for exceptional patient care.
- Competent computer skills with demonstrated experience within a nursing position.
- Ability to act proactively in the provision of services to clients and support across modalities.
- Demonstrate a high level of clinical critical thinking and problem-solving skills, applying theory into nursing practice in the provision of best practice.
- Relevant working with children checks.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a radiology setting would be advantageous.
The successful candidates will also be required to attend a monthly out-of-hours Nursing leadership team meeting, as well as show flexibility to support occasional on-call work and rostering to other sites to support operational needs.
