  • Employment Part time - Ongoing Permanent

Overview

The Women's & Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Women's and Babies Division as a Clinical Nurse &/or Midwife - Growth & Development Coordinator on an ongoing basis.

This role involves providing nursing and/or midwifery services across diverse healthcare settings and care models. Responsibilities include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, organizing appointments and referrals, and providing education to families. Additionally, the role entails leading projects aimed at improving health outcomes, managing complex cases, and ensuring ongoing evaluation and benchmarking to maintain service quality.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • be registered Nurse/Midwife with a minimum of 3 years of post-registration experience.
  • Demonstrate competence in the relevant area of nursing/midwifery practice and experience in supervising various healthcare professionals.
  • have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • have the capacity to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • have a familiarity with relevant legislation, standards, and ethics.
  • be knowledgeable of contemporary nursing/midwifery and health care issues.
