About the roleAs a
Clinical Nurse, you will have the opportunity to be active in a leadership role, including the development and provision of evidence-based clinical nursing, while working and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.This role will require you to:
- Act as a professional resource and demonstrate broad knowledge in all facets of caring for patients
- Ensure the department is safe, effective and follows best practice
- Supervising and supporting staff within the unit
- Participate in Quality improvement Programs in line with organisational and departmental strategic plans

Essential:- Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- A minimum of 4 years post registration experience, including 3 years' experience in PACU Nursing
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Understanding of scope of practice
- Ability to manage designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills.
- Preceptorship experience and a compassionate approach to mentoring student and novice nurses.
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators, and other quality projects.
- Excellent time management skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs
- Post-graduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing or working towards
Desirable:- Completion of a Preceptorship Program
- Previous Clinical Nurse experience
