An excellent role is available for a highly organised and dynamic Clinical Nurse Educator to join the Operating Theatre team at a private hospital in Sydney. This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity.
THE POSITION
You will join the team as a Clinical Nurse Educator – Cardiac, where you will take on a diverse array of responsibilities including:
- Welcoming new staff, students, and visitors to our Operating Theatre department;
- Organising unit-based and hospital-wide-in-services and study days;
- Developing and reviewing policies;
- Leading quality improvement projects;
- Overseeing clinical and documentation audits within the department;
- Managing both the direct entry New Graduate Program and Post Graduate program for Recovery staff;
- Participation in the hospital-wide mandatory training program.
The successful applicant will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with experience in Theatre;
- Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration;
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
- Ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate care delivery needs of patients;
- Knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice;
- Knowledge of Quality/Continuous Improvement processes;
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.

$50.29 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Best practice standards across the multidisciplinary team, from nursing and physiotherapy to the medical staff, are enforced by strict adherence to National Health Standards.
