About the role
Pearl Home Care is looking for a full-time Clinical Nurse Specialist based in Melbourne VIC.
Reporting to the Director of Care, based in WA, this role is responsible for the day-to-day management of clinical support to our nursing staff.
As our Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide leadership, advice, coordination, planning, review, and assessment of all aspects of clinical delivery to our Franchise partners to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients, while also facilitating ongoing education and training to their care workers and nurses.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing clinical care delivery to meet client needs and legislative requirements
- Serve as the clinical advisor, offering guidance and support to nursing staff on matters such as wound care and falls
- Supporting clinical staff to ensure high-quality care provision
- Reviewing assessments, care planning, and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and relevant legislation
- Participation in and support with internal and external audits.
- Leading incident investigations and addressing staff performance issues
About You
To qualify, you will need
- A Bachelor of Nursing Degree with current, unrestricted AHPRA registration.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical leadership role is essential, with experience in Aged Care being highly desirable.
- You will also need to hold a current and valid Police Check or have the ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of the Aged Care Standards, regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Additionally, the following will be highly valued:
- Demonstrated understanding of assessment and care planning
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Well-developed people management skills
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
