Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program

 Ever considered a career in the country? The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to support new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles.  It is available to new and existing nurses working full-time, part-time on fixed-term and permanent contracts across 76 select sites. Eligible nurses and midwives may receive between $5,000 and $17,000 paid over 12-months.

About the OPPORTUNITY

We currently have 1.00 FTE to fill on a Permanent Full time or Permanent Part time basis.

Part Time hours will be negotiated with the manager to meet the operational requirements for this role.

WACHS Goldfields are currently looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Nurse SpecialistMental Health Liaison. This position provides comprehensive Mental Health Liaison and acute intervention services, nursing leadership, professional consultation and advanced clinical practice within a Regional Hospital environment.

About You

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated workplace leadership experience relevant to community or hospital-based Mental Health practice.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of mental disorders.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment of acute and complex presentations and providing evidence-based interventions for people with mental disorders.

Subsequent Vacancies

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
