About the OPPORTUNITY
This is a Fixed Term Full-Time position until 16/06/2024 with the possibility of extension(s).
The Public Health Unit sits within Goldfields Population Health. The team is comprised of a Public Health Physician, a Clinical Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Nurses, a Case Management Officer, Aboriginal Health Promotion Officers and Admin Assistants.
The Public Health Unit coordinates and manages communicable disease prevention and control including:
- Communicable disease control
- Sexual health
- Regional immunisation coordination
- Trachoma control
- Public health disaster preparedness and planning
- Rheumatic Heart Disease
- Aboriginal environmental health

About You
The successful applicant will show:
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of comprehensive Public Health programs.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of Primary Health Care practice including disease control principles.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of cultural factors and social determinants of health particularly Aboriginal Health.
