Clinical Nurse Specialist - Renal Home Therapies

The role:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Renal Home Therapies, as a clinical expert in the area of practice:

• Utilises specialist nursing knowledge, skills and experience to assess, coordinate and review patients eligible for home-based renal replacement therapies (Home Haemodialysis and/or Peritoneal Dialysis).
• Provides discipline specific expertise and effective nursing care, in partnership with patients, their families, and other health professionals, for patients undertaking renal replacement Home Therapies.
• Functions effectively as a senior member of the renal multidisciplinary team and contributes to workplace activities, working collaboratively to assist and support the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in achieving the goals of the service.

North West Renal Satellite Unit located in Burnie is a highly specialised area of renal nursing which will provide:

• Great work life balance: Monday to Friday day work with rotational on call.
• Nurse led Outpatient Clinical Environment
• Opportunity to work collaboratively with the entire renal team including Nephrologists, Nurses, Consultants, Social Work and Allied Heath to provide a holistic approach to the provision of care for patients who undertake Peritoneal dialysis.

Details of Appointment
Permanent, part time, day worker position working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing from 4 March 2024
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $103,466 to $109,165 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
• Professional Development Allowance of up to $125 per annum

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: * Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
Current Driver's Licence.
*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
