Torbay Care & Lifestyles has been providing residential aged care services to the people of Hervey Bay and surrounding regions since 1976. Since their opening, they have experienced significant change and growth, resulting in changes to the way they operate. Today, Torbay is comprised of 134 Residential Aged Care rooms and 159 Independent Living Units, spread across 5 acres. Their large team of specialist staff provide outstanding services to their residents.
The Opportunity
High level responsibilities; key mandate of the role.
Reporting to the Clinical Director and leading a team of Registered Nurses, the Clinical Nurse Specialist will;
- Ensure that clinical and specialised nursing care needs of residents are being met and documented.
- Provide clinical support to Registered staff on the floor.
- Actively manage and participate in the service provision to residents with complex clinical care needs with particular focus on wound, diabetic, behavioral, medication, nutrition, hydration, pressure care and incontinence management.
- Ensure resident assessments, care plans and other relevant clinical documentation are accurately completed and reflect the complete needs of the resident and legislative requirements.
About You
This role would suit an established clinician who is passionate about the sector with a track record in developing and leading clinical services within the Aged Care sector. In addition, the successful candidate will have;
- Bachelor of Nursing with current APHRA registration
- Demonstrated understanding of assessment and care planning
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
