About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to Provide clinical facilitation for undergraduate student nurses, who are undertaking clinical practicum within Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug (MHAOD)Services, MNMH-RBWH. Assist students to develop knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary for practice within the clinical environment as a beginning level practitioner. In consultation with the Nurse Educator and Nurse Unit Manager, promote a culture of learning in the clinical environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Facilitate integration of theory with practice by supporting the development of student nurse within the clinical environment.
- Evaluate student performance, consistent with the relevant unit objectives and assessment tools.
- Lead and manage the provision of comprehensive care as the need arises.
- Deliver an advanced standard of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation by using clinical nursing expertise.
