An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse to join the team at Broome Regional Health Campus - Kimberley.

This vacancy is for Fixed Term appointment at various hours per fortnight until 25/12/2024, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

AHPRA Registration: To be considered for this position you need to be eligible for registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Board (AHPRA).

Position Profile:

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Nurse is to manage, coordinate and deliver competent nursing care for patients, using leadership and advanced clinical nursing skills and knowledge relevant to the General Medical department. Acts as a clinical resource and provides advanced clinical supervision and support for registered nurses, enrolled nurses and assistants in nursing. Provides support, direction, orientation and education to staff and patients. Acts as a role model in the provision of holistic are. Assists the Clinical Nurse Manager in all areas of unit management.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).

WACHS Kimberley is the most northern health region of WACHS. The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office. WACHS Kimberley provides hospital, community health, public health, remote area health, community aged care, and mental health services across the region through a dedicated team of medical, nursing, Aboriginal health, allied health, and support staff.
