Tell me more...The Clinical NurseWound Management demonstrates clinical expertise in leadership and management qualities in the provision of quality, cost effective, patient/client/resident centred care in consultation with other members of the health care team and in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's National competency standards for the registered nurse. The Clinical Nurse provides best practice nursing care in the assessment and treatment of wounds in patients/clients/residents to promote, maintain and improve their health, functional ability and quality of life and assume individual accountability for actions within the position.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Demonstrate advanced contemporary Wound Management.
• Demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation including Health and hospitals Network Act, Workplace Health and Safety Act, and Equal Employment Opportunity Legislation and other relevant legislation.
• Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture.
• Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills in gathering, analysing and reporting

Requirements for the role:

• It is a mandatory condition of employment in this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough) hepatitis B.
