We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, including maternity, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care, community health and state-wide specialist services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs.About the roleThis exciting and key new role has been created to provide support to Eastern Health’s Access unit through the addition of dedicated senior medical expertise. The role will involve contributing to the development of unit pathways and guidelines, provision of written and verbal advice to the Eastern Health Executive and Senior Leadership Team members and direction to Access Unit Staff. The fractional nature of the position reflects that the role will primarily involve strategic input and contributions to unit development however regular attendance at key meetings will be required as will coordination of negotiations between units to establish agreements regarding responsibilities for care. It is expected that the optimal workflows and tasks undertaken as part of this role will evolve over time based on regular reflection, feedback and evaluation.About youTo be successful in this role you will possess:

• A commitment to Eastern Health values.
• Unrestricted registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Fellow of an Australasian Medical College
• Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels
• Demonstrated understanding of Clinical Governance.
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
