There is an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic Grade 1 Pharmacists to join the team at Western Health. This position is a permanent, full time 80 hours per fortnight role.The role may include working after hours, on weekends and public holidays. Staff may be required to travel and work across the various Western Health campuses, programs, and partner organisations.This position presents an exciting and unique opportunity for a pharmacist to expand and develop their pharmacy skills.To be Successful in this Role, you will:
- Supply medications and provide pharmaceutical review in accordance with SHPA standards of practice, pharmacy service standards, accreditation and legislative requirements
- Need to provide expert professional knowledge and work with other health professionals to ensure patient outcomes are optimised by working to achieve the best Quality Use of Medicines
- Comply with Western Health formulary and standard operating procedures
- Participate in recording service documentation, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other required statistics
- Support education, research and operational activities within the department
- Be willing to be flexible and have the ability to assign priorities to responsibilities to meet time constraints
- Be able to work at any Western Health site when requested in order to ensure the effective and efficient use of resources to meet the needs of Western Health and its patients
