We are looking for a Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Psychology Registrar, for a minimum of 2 days and maximum of 4 days, who enjoys working with clients across the lifespan with a range of presentations. We are looking for someone with experience, or a desire to work with and build their skills in working with, the spectrum of eating disorder presentations and co-morbidities. Someone who values professional development and a clinical career, who does exceptional engagement and therapy with clients using evidence based practice and with a focus on being client centered and responsive. Someone with an interest in working with children, young people and their families. Someone who values reflective practice.
We are looking for a for someone to join our well established Lower North Shore practice. We have a team of Psychologists, two Dietitians and a full administration team who work collaboratively inhouse and with external treatment team members. The role has competitive remuneration, administrative support, clinical support and ability to fully control your hours and patient load. The position allows for independence in clinical work without any business or referral responsibilities. We can offer support, supervision and learning opportunities around the registrar program or other professional development plans. Flexible days and working conditions are available. However, you must be able to work either a Monday or a Tuesday.
You sound like our newest team member if you have a strong interest in working within a team and value treatment team relationships. If you have experience with, or willingness to learn to, work with adolescents and/or adults with eating disorders, body image concerns and difficult relationships with food and exercise. If you are confident in, or have in an enthusiasm to train in, CBT-E or Maudsley FBT. If you have an interest in a broader area of formulation and treatment such as; psychotherapy, schema, IPT or Narrative Therapy. If you are someone that has experience a strong foundation as a therapist and a value around working alongside clients long term. If you have an interest in developing expertise in a mode of eating disorder treatment.

- Eligibility to be a Medicare Provider
- Face to face role (some Telehealth, however mainly face to face)
- Experience in working with children and/or young people
- Keen desire to work within eating disorders (or experience)
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current Professional Indemnity Insurance
- ABN
- Current Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Must have general registration, this position is not open to provisional psychologist. Please only apply if you current hold registration status.
