About the role:
In this role our Clinical Psychologist will work within the Children’s Cancer and Haematology Service multidisciplinary team based in the John Hunter Children’s Hospital.
This role will include providing evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions to children undergoing treatment for cancer as well as their families.
You will provide Assessment Psychological intervention to patients with non-malignant haematological disorders. You will also provide consultation to the multidisciplinary team around Psychological concerns as well as facilitate referrals and consultation with external services.

Requirements:
Our successful candidate will possess the following:
- Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent, displayed on the Psychology Board of Australia website.
About you:
- You will have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- You will have refined management skills to assist with managing demands and workload in a busy hospital setting.
