About the Role
The Clinical Support Nurse (Emergency) is responsible for the Clinical Support and professional development of nurses within the specialty area with a focus on those employed within Early Career Programs (i.e. Pre-registration placements, Graduate Nurses and Pathway to Specialty Practice) and nurses new to the clinical area. The Clinical Support Nurse in collaboration with the Practice Development Nurses ensure that the nursing team deliver high quality clinical care for patients within their specialty area through delivery of clinical skills training, bedside education and mentoring. Furthermore, they will be responsible for their own professional development in order to develop and maintain expert clinical skills and advanced knowledge. This position does not carry a clinical case load. The responsibilities of the Clinical Support Nurse is within the allocated clinical area.
Classifications for this position will range from YU11 ($102,278.80 per annum) pro rata
Your Contribution
Current Nursing Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
Degree in General Nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery board of Australia.
Postgraduate Qualifications in relevant nursing speciality (Emergency), preferably a Masters in Advanced Nursing or working towards.
Minimum 5 years Emergency nursing experience in tertiary hospital.
Evidence of personal ongoing professional development
Experience in clinical teaching, clinical supervision, or implementation and facilitation of educational programs highly desirable.
Postgraduate qualification in Education, Clinical Supervision or similar (or working towards) highly desirable.
