About Us
Monash Newborn is a 64 bed Neonatal Intensive Care and Special Care Unit with a reputation for delivering outstanding family centred care to neonates and is housed in the new Monash Children’s Hospital.
Nursing and Midwifery Education & Strategy (NaMES) supports the organisation in achieving their vision and values by providing education and training and advancing clinical practice to ensure Monash Health has a contemporary, flexible and highly skilled workforce.
About The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for you to join the nursing education team (NaMES) within Monash Health in a Clinical Support Nurse position. We require a skilled clinician with a passion for education and Neonatal Care, who will be responsible for both the provision of Clinical Support and education to nursing (and midwifery) staff across three sites of Monash Health. This role includes:
Supporting contemporary education that promotes best practice standards.
Clinical support to staff of all proficiency levels, novice to expert
Demonstrating and promoting expertise and best practice standards
Helping to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce our patients receive safe and high-quality care within Monash Health
Working collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team

About You
You are a highly skilled neonatal nurse with a passion for education. You have well-developed engagement, communication and collaboration skills. You have post graduate qualifications in Neonatal Nursing, recent experience in acute neonatal nursing and you are experienced in supporting learners and in particular, you can demonstrate:
Commitment to quality clinical care and sound clinical skills
Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to show initiative and work independently when required
Ability to demonstrate expertise with a sound understanding of neonatal Nursing;

What You Need:
Current AHPRA registration
Neonatal Nursing Post Graduate qualification is essential
Completion of, or working towards postgraduate qualifications in education is highly regarded
Proven clinical experience
Relevant working visa
