Our Journey:
We have several opportunities to join the Nursing and Midwifery Education team as a Clinical Support Nurse with our Medical/Surgical program, at Monash Health. These leadership positions, will assist in the development and facilitation of education, training and support to all nursing staff.
- Clinical bedside education focus
- Ongoing part-time/Fixed term part-time (Parental leave 12mths)
- Rotating shifts, 7 days /week
Exciting opportunities exist for nurses with extensive clinical experience, to join the NaMES team as a Clinical Support Nurse (CSN). We require highly skilled clinicians with a passion for education who will be responsible for providing clinical and educational support to nursing staff across Monash Health, with a particular focus on the nursing workforce in our medical/surgical wards.
Some of the specific accountabilities will include:
- Clinical bedside support to all nurses
- Demonstrating and promoting best practice standards
- The ability to create learning opportunities for staff through empowering education
- Helping to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce our patients receive safe and high-quality care
- Effective communication and escalation
About You:
Working closely with key stakeholders you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge:
- Recent relevant clinical experience in Medical Surgical nursing OR cancer nursing
- Completion of postgraduate qualifications in nursing, or working towards
- Excellent communication skills
- A sound understanding of clinical supervision, clinical assessment and advanced clinical practice
