Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for the staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care.The position is based in the Intensive Care Xavier L5 at St Vincent’s Public Hospital.The Clinical Support Officer role is generally office based and supports the work activities of nurses, medical staff and allied health staff in the Intensive Care Service who work in the clinical area. Working hours are Monday to Friday in line with normal business hours. The Clinical Support Officer will provide administrative and Clinical Support functions across the Intensive Care Service and work closely with existing administration staff. The role is complementary to existing roles, systems and processes. The successful applicant will provide reception, clerical, data entry and administrative services across the department and assist in coordinating support services as directed by the Nurse Manager, Director and other health personnel in the unit.Diversity and Inclusion at St Vincent's:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Clinical Support Officer who possesses a passion for person centred care. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.2. Experience in a similar role, preferably in a health care setting3. Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent4. Demonstrates initiative and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.5. Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.6. Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheets and database software.7. Strong organisational skills, priority setting and ability to meet competing deadlines.8.
