The Clinical Trials Manager provides leadership for the team of research staff who oversee Clinical Trials (approximately 17 FTE), manages internal and external stakeholder engagement and is reponsible for the establishment and implementation of Clinical Trials of alternate therapies for CCC patients. Other duties include efficient and effective management of clinical trial budgets and the development and implementation of continuous improvement cycles to ensure optimal operation of the trials and facilitate education for staff on the significance of trials and the processes and criteria involved. The position is responsible for strong and productive internal and external stakeholder engagement, and is the primary contact and liaison for key external research bodies.To be successful in this role you will have:
- Understanding of Clinical Trials methodology and the stages in the testing of new products and other interventions
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills, including the ability to manage and lead projects and initiatives
- Demonstrated experience in leading people and programs at a strategic and operational level within accountability for financial and people management functions
- Experience with financial management, preparation and monitoring and reporting of budgets
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders to achieve mutual understanding and agreed outcomes
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to priorities workload and competing demands and conflicting priorities
- Demonstrated experience with implementing change initiatives, including transformation of work practices and service delivery models
