YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE The Parkville Cancer Clinical Trials Unit (PCCTU) co-ordinates interventional Oncology and Haematology trials across the 3 hospitals of the Parkville Precinct: The Royal Melbourne, The Royal Womens and the Peter Maccallum Cancer Centre. It is the largest clinical trial unit in Australia. We are creating a new position which will help drive improved operational performance in the PCCTU by: assessing and implementing new electronic systems applicable to Clinical Trials and providing staff with the appropriate training for their use. Internal and external PCCTU communication strategies appropriate to Clinical Trials. For Communications: In conjunction with the Director, Manager and appropriate PCCTU and institution staff members, this position holder is responsible for the development, maintenance and distribution of external communications strategies, including sponsor communication In conjunction with the Deputy Manager of Quality and Performance and appropriate PCCTU and institution staff, is responsible for the development, maintenance and distribution of internal communications strategies for Clinical Trials, including document management and version control For systems: Develops an IT systems training program for new and existing staff members (Office 365, SharePoint, SiteDocs, SIP and new software, programs and platforms). Liaison to Peter Mac IT department and sponsor representative on current and roll of new software, programs, and platform, including that documentation of internal Peter Mac validations are obtained. Works with Sponsors to assess new systems they wish to introduce and with relevant PCCTU staff to plan for the introduction of applicable systems. Oversight and management of electronic file storage (SharePoint, S-Drive, SiteDocs), trial platforms (SIP etc.) and software (Sperry, Adobe, DocuSign), including maintaining all certification and validation documentation Manages electronic systems development / enhancement to increase efficiency, accuracy, and output of trial management, including working with RedCap team to future proof RedCap systems in use or developed by PCCTU.
