Your opportunity
As a Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer you will be driving the governance, optimisation and uplift self-service infrastructure. By delivering and driving an agile, stable, and secure platform across our Public & Private Clouds, Data Centers and Living Centers. This role reports Senior Manager Cloud & Infrastructure team and is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
You will have overall accountability to:
- Build automated deployments using infrastructure-as-code technologies
- Ensure cloud infrastructure is properly patched, monitored, and maintained
- Monitor and analyse trends in system performance, cost, capacity and reliability
- Implement new technologies within the GCP Cloud space to improve processes
- Build and maintain high availability systems through automation and self-service to application and business teams
- Create and maintain operational documentation including configuration support manuals as the environment evolves
- Uplift governance on the GCP platform and developing self-service cost management dashboards
- Develop and optimise continuous integration and deployment processes
- Undertake regular analysis of cloud workloads and optimising by providing rightsizing and reducing costs
- Implement new technologies within the CloudOps space to improve process of code deployment, to Scentre Groups environment, seeking to eliminate inefficiency using relevant technology solutions
- Maintain and support CloudOps toolsets, processes and automation supporting the software development lifecycle e.g., CI/CD automation
- Decommission legacy application and systems.
- Monitor: Prometheus, AlertManager, Grafana & Google Cloud Monitoring
- After-hours support for patching, upgrades and production incidents
What will set you apart from the rest?
- Demonstrated (5+ years) experience working with GCP and a proven track record of building cloud infrastructure
- Strong understanding of GCP security and monitoring and experience implementing best practices
- Good knowledge of Kubernetes, Containers, Terraform, GitHub, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Docker, Helm
- Proficient in CICD tools and technologies including Jira, GitHub, Buildkite, Grafana
- Excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills.
- Ability to effectively present information to different target audiences both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and be accountable for outcomes
