Join a dynamic team at an innovative government organisation, offering a unique opportunity for a Cloud Engineer with DevOps experience. This is a permanent position based in Newcastle and provides a hybrid working environment.
Your new role The Cloud Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the company's Hyperscale Cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, with hands-on experience in cloud services, deployment automation, and infrastructure management. What you'll need to succeed
Experience implementing and maintaining Hyperscale cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) using platforms such as AWS & Azure.
Experience automating Hyperscale cloud infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and management tasks using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Previous experience collaborating with development teams to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
Holds a Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as - Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience with effective ongoing management and optimisation of a corporate Hyperscale Cloud environment.
Strong knowledge in SecDevOps practices and tools.
Exposure to key Information Technology principles: IT Service Management, IT Governance, IT Delivery, Architecture, Engineering standards and Cyber Risk Management.
Proven ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
