Scope of Task:
Cloud Identity Technical Lead who will lead the architectural design of a multi-agency identity service to suit the TS Cloud. The successful candidate will have skills and experience in the following;
- Commercial cloud architecture including hybrid cloud
- User provisioning and management
- Directory services
- Attribute and role-based access management
- User registration, user authentication, access control processes
- Management and auditing processes
- Single sign-on
- Multi-factor authentication
- Certificates management
- Privileged access management
- Encryption key management
The Cloud Identity Technical Lead will be accountable under the general direction of project leadership and the Identity Management Technical Director for leading the creation of the identity service detailed design (logical architecture) and lead implementation of a suitable solution across the NIC. This will include:
1. Facilitate multi-agency working groups to understand requirements, dependencies and constraints for the Identity Service design.
2. Work with agencies to understand their current state and identity strategies, and make consideration for these in the architectural design.
3. Ensure relevant policies and standards are addressed, and plan and design for emerging technologies (such as Zero Trust Architecture).
4. Work closely with the industry cloud provider to architect a feasible and viable identity architecture.
5. Provide Cloud Identity expert guidance and options analysis to program management (and non-technical stakeholders) on specific topics as required in a clear and concise manner.
6. Lead the implementation of a suitable identity solution, including establishment and testing, reporting to project leadership and creation of technical specification and documentation to be made available within shared technical repositories.
It is highly desirable for the successful candidate to be Canberra-based, but arrangements for work in other capital cities may be accommodated. There may be some domestic travel required.
