Kaya, Melbourne's first Mind and Body Health Clubs specialises in providing members with Unlimited access to over 250 traditional Pilates Reformer, Yoga, Barre, Fitness Circuit & Spinning classes per week. PLUS, dedicated cardio and weights zones.

Who we're looking for:
The Key Performance Objectives of the Club Manager is to effectively manage member acquisition (sales) and retention to meet net membership targets. Other responsibilities include club operations, quality assurance, database management, marketing, recruitment, budgeting, training & development, strategising for the future ahead to minimise risk and the ability to crisis manage.
As a premium brand, Kaya's expectation is that all members receive quality and genuine service across all touch points. The Club Manager will lead, empower, and motivate ongoing professionalism, excellence, efficiency to achieve key performance benchmarks. Inherent in the Club Manager’s responsibilities is the personal and professional growth of their team as a mentor to foster motivation and reinforce the Kaya's brand values.
We seek an applicant that will thrive when faced with challenges within an extremely busy environment; an individual that is eager to grow and further develop their professional career in what is now considered one of the fastest growing sector of the health and wellbeing industry.
What we expect | position specific skills:
- Minimum 3 years people management experience in a service-based industry (health club, leisure or hospitality industries preferred however not essential).
- Experience managing sales in a service-based industry.
- Strong leadership, management, mentoring and business acumen skills (experience preferred in working within a fast faced customer-facing environment and leading numerous departments).
- Previous sales and management in a direct selling-based industry.
- A leader who is solutions focused, works well under pressure, embraces change and thrives in crisis management situations.
- Performance management and evaluation of employees.
- Accountability for results in all areas of the business.
- Maturity and confidence in dealings with members, staff, and suppliers
- Team achievement focused from a club and group perspective.
- Implementation and ongoing delivery of systems amongst their team, always with a view of refining processes.
- Experience in conflict resolution.
- Exceptional time management, delegation, follow-up, efficiency and organisation skills, the ability to multi-task and high computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills and flexibility in communication style.
- Calmness and positive attitude under all conditions.
- First–class in personal grooming and presentation.
