As a leading Australian company for high quality CNC equipment such as fibre lasers, press brakes and waterjet cutting systems, Performatec is seeking an experienced fibre laser & press brake technician to join our dynamic team.
Based at our state-of-the-art Ingleburn showroom, you will install, train and support a range of machinery including fibre lasers, press brakes and waterjet machinery so our clients get the very best out of their equipment.

About You:
- You’ll be an experienced fibre laser and / or press brake technician who is dedicated to driving exceptional results and delivering tangible outcomes
- You have a capacity to accurately comprehend customer requirements and possess a natural aptitude for trouble shooting. You are highly capable of effectively navigating and resolving technical challenges.
- You are driven to perform at the highest level and consistently take ownership of results, making sound decisions.
- You are approachable and have excellent written, verbal communication and time management skills.
- You have a solid grasp and manual dexterity with tools and equipment, and possess a logical approach to problem solving.
- You can work well both unsupervised and in a team
- You enjoy working with different types of software
- You have the ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals (Experience is advantageous, training can be provided)
About the Role:
- You will be relied upon to master technical specs, capabilities, and maintenance of every aspect of our showroom machinery
- Manage the start up, installation, calibration, commissioning and training of CNC systems.
- Offer online support and training for various software packages, including troubleshooting.
- Contact customers to arrange regular maintenance, whilst fostering trust-based relationships with clients
- Promote and adhere to safety standards during all installations and training, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Field incoming calls from clients requiring technical support, troubleshooting and liaising with overseas equipment manufacturers until a resolution is found.
- Fault find and perform mechanical testing to resolve issues on machinery such as fibre lasers, press brakes and waterjet cutting systems.
- Perform test cuts and trials for prospects and generating test reports for clients.
- Install, maintain and repair machines.
- Interstate travel for waterjet system installations at client sites.
- Supervision of trades at installation sites.
