The Opportunity:
Our client is looking for several CNC Machinists with significant experience in the manufacturing and refurbishment of mining pulleys.
The Workshop CNC Machinist is tasked with setting up and running computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate precise parts and components specifically for Conveyors.
This position requires advanced technical skills and a keen eye for detail, including the ability to understand engineering drawings and program CNC machines.
What your day to day activities will consist of:
- Monitor machining processes to maintain part dimensions and quality standards, making necessary adjustments as required.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines for a secure work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of job orders, machine settings, and production data.
- Collaborate with colleagues including engineers and quality control personnel to ensure smooth production processes and high product quality.
- Setup and operate CNC machines such as milling machines and lathes as per engineering specifications and job orders.
- Develop and modify CNC programs using industry-standard software, ensuring efficient machining processes.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices for each machining task.

What you will bring:
- Prefer candidates with CNC machining certification
- Demonstrated expertise as a CNC Machinist, encompassing CNC machine programming and operation
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision in tasks
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Effective communication abilities
- Strong dedication to safety protocols
- Physical endurance and capability to handle heavy materials
- Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
- Hands-on experience with Conveyors
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software such as G-code
- Proficient in mathematical calculations and problem-solving
- Experience using an overhead crane
