Cnc Operator - Machinist

Our client is a family-owned engineering firm that’s provides world-class, high precision and repetition component manufacturing services to the automotive, defence, aerospace, medical and commercial industries across Australia as well as the international market.
An exciting opportunity is now available to join the afternoon shift for a Machine Setter – CNC Setter Operator
The successful applicant will join our clients team and work with minimum supervision with the latest high-tech equipment .
To be considered successful for this position, candidates must have :

• Technical knowledge or experience with setting & operating pre-programmed CNC machines & ensuring production efficiency
• Attention to detail & ability to work in a team environment
• Basic ability to read engineering drawings & follow work instructions
• Basic computer literacy and exposure to quality systems
• Ability to work to goals & targets with low supervision
• Positive can do attitude and reliable employment history
• Be committed, motivated and self-disciplined and have a mindset of continuous improvement in their work.

  
Expected Hours of work
Afternoon shift – 3pm and 11.00pm Monday – Thursday; and 12.30pm – 9.30pm Friday.
Qualification & Experience Required

• Preferred - Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade / National Qualification code is MEM30219
• Experience in CNC repetition machining, preferably with trade qualifications.
• Fully capable of interpreting engineering drawings and using inspection, measuring & test equipment.
• OH&S Awareness and experience with management systems ( quality, OH&S, etc).
