ABOUT THE ROLE
Through the Growing Football Fund, supported by CommBank, the Coach Engagement Lead will work across departments to develop strategies to overcome barriers of entry level coaching, with focus on research, resource creation, training opportunities and events, female coaching networks and local club support.
This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Football Australia’s community coach sector and the programs in which they deliver are well resourced, informative, and adaptable to its target audience, with a particular focus on inclusion for women and girls.
Please note that this role is fixed term until 30 June 2025.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understanding their needs and priorities to support in aligning resources and initiatives accordingly
- To provide assistance to successful recipient clubs of the Growing Football Fund in the promotion of their initiatives, and support telling the stories of recipients
- To lead the development of coaching resources, including modules, session plans, coach series and more that combat the barriers for community club coaching
- To provide leadership and coordination of entry level coaching initiatives in the forms of coaching training events, upskilling and learning opportunities and mentorship
- Support in the coordination of creating online live and pre-recorded workshops, seminars, and events to feature on the Football Australia Coaches Hub
- To undertake research to understand the barriers in the attraction and retention of women and girls in football
- Participate in content ideation and support the production of high-quality content that supports Growing Football Fund initiatives - for distribution across all platforms including social media, website, EDMs, events and digital touchpoints.

ABOUT YOU
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Understanding of Australian Football ecosystem and its Member Federations.
- Demonstrative knowledge in coach development, education, and training
- Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Sound interpersonal skills with an ability to manage relationships and negotiate terms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a variety of stakeholders.

Additional Requirements:
- Full working rights in Australia
- Working with children check (paid/employee) or state-based equivalent
- International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable)
- Out of hours and weekend work as required
