Industry Beans is offering a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and exciting specialty coffee roasting team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in coffee roasting and account management who is looking to advance their career in the specialty coffee industry.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager of Wholesale Operations, the Coffee Roaster & Account Manager will be responsible for roasting and packing coffee in the roastery, assisting with maintenance and preparation duties, and completing deliveries to customer accounts. This role is perfect for individuals who have a passion for learning and sharing knowledge about specialty coffee, acquiring new skills, and building relationships with clients. The position will start as Part-Time at 0.6 FTE (3 days a week), with potential for additional hours and growth for the right candidate.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide support to the team with wholesale roasting, production, and logistical requirements.
- Maintain expertise and involvement in small-batch coffee roasting while assisting with production responsibilities.
- Oversee and enhance Industry Beans’ ability to surpass wholesale client expectations.
- Cultivate relationships with our clients and the team at each account.
- Monitor and address all client needs, including technical support, troubleshooting, quality concerns, and ordering.
- Effectively communicate client needs with the roasting team and assist in organizing technical and marketing support as needed.
- Conduct customer visits and deliver coffee to clients.
- Develop new business opportunities with the current client base by fostering long-term relationships.
- Adhere to established systems and processes while maintaining a tidy roastery.
You’ll be perfect for this role if you have:
- Extensive knowledge of coffee and barista experience.
- An engaging personality with a customer-focused approach to deliver exceptional account management.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow processes and systems effectively.
- A full driver's license.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday
