About this opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity where you can make a real impact by providing support to both the Credit and Sales teams in the preparation and submission of high value and/or complex applications for finance. This role sits within the Credit Team of SilverChef, however will work closely with the Sales Team in the identification and successful fulfillment of sales opportunities.
Your top contributions in this role will include:
- Providing leadership and expertise on Credit Risk across the Sales Team, including uplifting the credit risk capability of the team. This includes assisting with the development and uplifting of the underlying credit and risk management skills of the Credit Team.
- Partnering with the Sales Team to prepare, analyse and assess complex and/or large exposure applications and provide recommendations that are in the best interest of SilverChef and the applicants.
- Liaising with customers directly to assess their finance needs and suitability for a SilverChef product.
- Liaising with Dealers and Dealers Sales Representatives to increase their skills in identifying sales opportunities especially as they relate to complex and large exposure applications.
- Providing input into Policy Settings in relation to Credit and, in particular, those involving large and/or complex applications.
- Contributing to projects as required by the business.
What you’ll need to succeed
- 5+ years’ experience in financial services with exposure to commercial credit and risk management.
- Expert understanding of credit analysis and policies as well as risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
- High understanding of the indicators of financial distress, potential loss and fraud.
- Significant Financial statement analysis experience.
