About the Role:
The role will sit directly in the commercial team, you will analyse market trends, sales performance, and financial data to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Your expertise will help shape our commercial strategies, optimise pricing, and improve overall business performance.
About You:
You are currently an experienced Commercial Analyst supporting sales team and ideally with in the FMCG experience.
You share our customer-first and team-first value and enjoy influencing stakeholders and peers on alternative methodologies and strategies that may not be the norm within the business.
You are a strong business partner who can demonstrate effective relationship building and have an agile and growth mind set. Able to analysis sales data to present actionable insights directly to the Sales Senior Leadership team.
This role requires someone with strong excel skills and be well versed with Power BI or similar applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct customer profitability analysis and evaluate the effectiveness of trade spend.
- Assist in the preparation of commercial and marketing budgets.
- Support the preparation of business cases.
- Maintain finance and strategic models to support business decision-making.
- Create reports to assist with pricing and service reviews.
- Clearly articulate and present analysis, insights, and recommendations to various stakeholder groups, including senior management.
- Contribute to and assist in the development of commercial benchmarks and KPIs.
- Develop reporting and tools to support business decision-making using a range of tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Phocas.
- Report and track sales force effectiveness for in-field teams, providing insights and recommendations.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Professional Accounting/ Finance qualification - CPA/CA
- Experience in a similar role, having had exposure to both financial control and forecasting, Planning and analysis.
- Proven experience in using BI tools such as Power BI & Phocas
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- +5 years’ experience in commercial
