The Australia Sector has more than 1,200 employees operating across four countries, namely Australia, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom.We are now looking for a Commercial & Supply Chain Officer to join our corporate Commercial team, ideally based in Melbourne although other locations (Canberra and Adelaide) will be considered. This Commercial & Supply Chain Officer works as part of the Commercial & Supply Chain Function to provide a range of commercial support to the QinetiQ business in support of our existing customer contracts, new business opportunities and corporate needs.Supporting the Strategic Commercial Manager in the pursuit of business winning opportunities you will have the opportunity to work across the broad spectrum of commercial activities, including contract management, estimating and pricing, procurement and subcontract management, risk management, and trade compliance management. As the Commercial & Supply Chain officer your duties may also include:
- Supporting customer contract compliance reviews, estimating & pricing activities, supplier engagement (including to seek quotations, conducting supplier assurance
- Working with business leaders to understand and execute QinetiQ's obligations under customer contracts, respond appropriately to contract issues, support development or review of contract changes, and assist in contract close out
- Reviewing and coordinating non-disclosure and other agreements.
- A Bachelor Degree in a commercial field, such as business, accounting, law or a related field
- Experience gained in a commercial team, preferably in Defence Industry or a Government Department
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to draft contract change proposals and letters.
- Experience working in commercial/procurement administration and/or export controls would be highly desirable
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels
