AddressMelbourne City Institute of Education (MCIE) is a private vocational education and training provider delivering training in Hospitality and Commercial Cookery. MCIE is seeking qualified trainer/assessors to deliver Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Certificate III in Hospitality, Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and the Diploma of Hospitality Management.
Successful candidates will have the following;
- a qualification/s at or higher than the qualification/s to be delivered and assessed
- TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
- Working with Children Check
- relevant and current industry experience
- candidates with previous experience of work-based training Apprenticeships and Traineeships are preferred
- relevant VET knowledge and knowledge of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015
- experience in delivering Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs
- ability to work with and train students from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- are from time to time required to travel to worksites across the Greater Metropolitan area
Key Selection Criteria
Demonstrated ability to:
- deliver quality training, conduct assessments and provide feedback
- support students of diverse backgrounds to develop the required knowledge and skills in safe learning environment
- use a learning management system and Microsoft Office products, word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook and other electronic technologies within a learning environment
- extensive industry knowledge, skills and teaching experience in the hospitality and cookery fields
- engage, and maintain links with industry
- assist with the development and validation of learning and assessment resources
- follow, implement and comply with policies and procedures including student results and assessment feedback
- to work in a cooperative manner with others
Successful applicants may be employed initially between 2 to 4 days per week with the possibility of full-time employment post-sessional engagement.
