Commercial Credit Analyst - Asset Finance

Commercial Lending | Asset Finance | Credit Analyst | National Finance Company | Sydney's Lower North Shore | Close to Public Transport

You will be working for a well-established National Finance company that offers consumer and commercial lending services through a broker network to a wide range of clients in a variety of industries.
With offices in Sydney, you will be reporting to the Credit Manager. You will be responsible for the assessment and decision of commercial Asset Finance applications.
The role:

• Reviewing financial statements and credit histories of existing and potential clients
• Using sound judgment consistently to analyse applications in line with corporate policies to drive appropriate customer focused outcomes
• A decisive decision maker capable of making decisions within risk guidelines at speed
• Manage competing priorities to meet timeframes
• Professional, clear and concise communication to consult and negotiate financial transactions, payment terms and credit limits
• Identify areas of improvement driving innovation, efficiency and mutually beneficial outcomes for the customer and internal stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you must have the following essential criteria:

• At least 1 or 2 years’ experience gained working as a Commercial Credit Analyst
• An understanding of Asset Finance credit lending practices
• Strong analytical skills with a sound understanding of financial statements and preparation of credit submissions
• First class communication skills both written and verbal with the confidence to deal with external stakeholders
• An eye for detail
• A team player with lots of initiative and self-motivation
• Excellent time management skills
• IT Savvy with good MS Office skills and exposure to automated software systems
