The Commercial Director (APAC) is a newly designed, growth focused role, introduced to support Veracio's global expansion plans. It's an individual contributor, quota carrying role, responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities aligned with Veracio's leading Orebody Knowledge solutions. The primary focus of this position is to achieve revenue obligations aligned with ambitious growth targets centered on new logo acquisition, noting the substantial market potential and opportunity that exists in the core scanning and drilling instrumentation sectors.
Leveraging prior expertise and demonstrable success across enterprise and strategic selling, combined with a deep understanding of technology that supports and improves the mining, resources and related drilling industries, this pivotal role is best suited to a competent business developer, a sales executive with a spirited hunter mentality that embraces the challenge of working in a fast paced, hyper growth mode, scale up. High performers with a history of overachieving annual sales targets will be well positioned for this role.
The Commercial Director (APAC) reports into the VP Commercial (APAC) and together, collaborating as a team, are responsible for Veracio's Asia Pacific target markets.

- Prospecting and lead generation.
- Sales strategy and execution.
- Business development and relationship management.
- Pipeline management.
- Consultative, value-based selling.
- Market and key account expansion and revenue growth.
- Contract negotiation and deal management.
- Proven track record of success in enterprise and strategic sales, in a B2B context, preferably focused on software or technology solutions for mining and resources industries or drilling services sectors. Prior exposure and expertise with core scanning technologies a plus.
- Preference for a background, understanding and exposure to the Orebody Knowledge subsector, or related geological modelling solutions and related mining value chain management solutions, whereby orebody knowledge plays a pivotal role in value creation.
- Further, an associated understanding of the drilling services space within a mining context, including exploration drilling, orebody definition drilling and related assaying activities, with associated understanding of the instrumentation that it utilized to deliver value in this area.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering/geology/geosciences or a related field is a plus.
- Extensive experience in leading and managing strategic sales processes and overachieving revenue targets.
- Prior exposure to MEDDIC, MEDDPIC or a related strategic sales process/qualification methodology highly regarded.
- Knowledge of CRM systems (Hubspot a plus) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability, with a focus on revenue growth and market expansion.
- In-depth knowledge of the APAC mining and resources and drilling market, including key industry players, customer dynamics, and cultural nuances.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a demonstrated ability to close large and complex deals.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight. High personal drive for success and achievement.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior executives and build lasting relationships.
- Willingness to travel frequently within APAC and occasionally, globally.
- Requirement for fluency in English; additional bilingual/multilingual capabilities a plus.
