About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior lawyer with strong leadership skills to lead and grow our Commercial team in the Brisbane office.
This role is ideal for an experienced lawyer seeking a senior leadership position in a national law firm. Whether you're transitioning from a small firm or a large one, we offer a unique opportunity for hands-on leadership and relationship management.
About You
As a senior legal practitioner, you will drive matters independently, ensuring a high standard from start to completion. Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering high quality legal services that exceed client expectations
• Communicating effectively with clients to uphold service standards
• Managing business and legal risks, ensuring compliance and enforcing high professional and ethical standards
• Identifying and contributing to innovative legal strategies for exceptional results
• Achieving outstanding client service, building relationships and identifying business opportunities
• Supporting and supervising lawyers to achieve group goals
• Collaborating with the executive leadership group to maintain client relationships at required service levels
• Running files from beginning to end in various court jurisdictions
Beneficial experience may include:
• Lead and manage complex commercial transactions, including business acquisitions, disposals and shareholder agreements and other corporate matters
• Draft, review and amend advices and a variety of commercial agreements
• Provide expert legal advice on commercial property - leasing, conveyancing, off the plan developments, building contracts, property acquisitions and disposal essentials
