About the Role
Responsibilities of the Senior Director Commercial and Procurement encompass the development and implementation of innovative procurement solutions and strategies, aimed at increasing value and reducing risk for Metro South Health. This involves but is not limited to, sourcing and full lifecycle management of all spend categories, crafting effective stakeholder engagement strategies, advancing digital technologies, establishing Vendor and Contract Management frameworks, and nurturing a value-based clinical procurement culture to promote sustainable healthcare services delivery.
In addition, the Senior Director Commercial and Procurement is tasked with establishing a Commercial and Business Advisory Stream within the existing resource framework. This strategic endeavor is designed to maximise the value derived from MSH's substantial $750 million non-labor expenditure. The role necessitates a "hands-on" approach, with the individual taking responsibility for delivering optimal procurement outcomes for specified strategic projects, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and strategic leadership.
