As a Commercial Energy Sales Executive in the Commercial and Industrial Customers (C&I) Team, you will be at the forefront of the Commercial and Industrial sector by owning all stages of the sales funnel, building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and ultimately delivering quality sales to exceed targets.

In this role, you will be responsible for securing high-value deals by driving and managing the sales process's financial development, proposal development, and customer interface and effectively manage the sales pipeline and actively seek market intelligence and pricing feedback.

What you'll be doing:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers through direct contact to create opportunities for the sale of energy solutions, gas, and electricity products with an emphasis on cross-selling fuels.

  • Developing a detailed understanding of customer needs to articulate the value proposition and inform the development of profitable commercial solutions.

  • Executing profitable energy solutions, gas and electricity sales in line with sales campaigns, to both individual customers and the Multi-site segment, within delegated authority limits.

  • Effectively communicating customer needs within AGL and ensuring the accuracy of sales details within AGL's systems to provide the best customer experience through the sale and fulfilment process.

  • Researching organizations and individuals to identify new opportunities as well as keeping up to date with industry developments and identifying new opportunities and threats which may arise over time.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in solution selling with deal values in excess of $1,000,000 per transaction in similar sales roles, ideally within the Solar energy sector or other large B2B solutions-oriented organization

  • Demonstrated experience in solution selling in a sales role, as well as an understanding of the energy market and energy solution space especially in technologies such as solar, batteries and energy efficiency.

  • A hunter mentality with demonstrated success in developing and executing sales plans and record of achieving sales quotas in a B2B environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver engaging presentations for clients, and experience working with CRM solutions to report and track pipeline progress.

  • Excellent professional communication skills with Senior Executives of commercial or industrial companies, coupled with strong writing skills, and immediate or advanced Microsoft Office skills.

  • Self-motivated, achievement oriented, well disciplined, task focused with a strong sense of timeliness.
