About the Role:
As Commercial Engineer, this is a senior role where you will be the product or solution domain expert within NHP.
You will utilise your Commercial Engineering expertise and work on a wide variety of predominantly project-based work such as product developments and proof of concepts, whilst also heightening the customer experience by ensuring we have rich documentation and demonstration units available to help customers apply our products in their designs and installations.
Other responsibilities include:
- Conduct product evaluations on NHP supplier sources projects & Ensure regulatory needs are met (eg. RCM, EESS, ACMA, standard compliance)
- Work with Technical Training Leader (s) to develop training material
- Deliver technical training on products both internally and externally
- Undertake market-driven proof of concept work to aid delivery of solutions for sale that incorporate NHP products
- Innovation and development of new products for NHP before we offer them to market
- Provide high level technical and application support to internal and external customers and participate in customer presentations and training sessions
- Assist with the creation of dynamic demonstrations units to ensure they are electrically compliant & documented
Ideally you will have / be:
- Industry recognised qualifications in Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar)
- Registered Professional Engineer (desirable)
- Strong technical understanding of Energy Management Systems, Automation Solutions, LV Switchgear and Industrial Components & Control Systems
- Experience in programming, high level of familiarity with various communication protocols including MODBUS and BACnet and good understanding of various data bases such as SQL
- Experience working with 2D & 3D CAD software
- Committed to delivering quality outcomes to customers and stakeholders and having an appreciation of what they need
- A team player, who has the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross functional team environment (this role works closely with Product Managers and the Technology team)
- Self-driven and proactive who has the ability to see projects from the beginning to the end
