The Commercial Finance Manager will engage and partner with sales, marketing, and product development team to effectively support the business in financial analysis, planning and reporting of initiatives and results – including market and sales analysis, forecasting, new product performance, promotional planning, pricing, and other commercial initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Establishing Key Performance Indicators for the business and analysis of business results in relation to these KPI’s
- Evaluating and testing business plans to ensure growth and profitability and make adjustment recommendations, as necessary
- Working proactively with key business partners to identify opportunities and to drive business growth initiatives
- Providing financial and commercial evaluation of new business initiatives to support effective decision making
- Co-ordinating the month end process and owning key deliverables, resulting in the accurate and timely submission of required management accounts and inputs
- Work collaboratively across functions to run new pricing scenarios, identify volume and profit impact to maximise contribution margin
- Analyse financial impact of price approach in view of overall history as well as profitability of customer
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Commercial Finance roles.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Proven track record in financial analysis, budgeting, and project finance within the manufacturing / building / construction sector
- Strong history of leveraging data analytics to make well-informed financial decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, allowing you to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
