The Opportunity

A clear industry leader, our client backed by private equity is undertaking an accelerated growth trajectory.  They currently have a requirement for a driven commercial finance leader with superior financial modelling skills most likely developed in a corporate finance capacity to join their Melbourne based finance function. 

The Challenge

This role will support the CFO and key members of the ELT with strategic planning, commercial analysis and M&A support. 

The key responsibilities will include but not limited to: 

• Manage end to end strategic planning, including corporate planning and budgeting
• Have ultimate responsibility for the corporate financial model
• Present financial forecasts, reporting and strategy plans for board
• Provide detailed operational analysis and commercial insight on projects to the ELT
• Partner with the Executive Team to assist with all aspects of project and M&A activity for the company including due diligence, financial modelling and document preparation.
• Assist the Executive Leadership Team with the delivery of investment proposal papers to the board
• Ad hoc financial modelling activities as required
• Oversee the annual budgeting process

The Expertise

• Suitably qualified, you most likely commenced your career within an investment banking/corporate finance team and have moved in a corporate development or requisite position within industry
• You will possess sophisticated financial modelling skills
• Potentially you hail from a progressive Financial Planning & Analysis function where the emphasis of your role is strategy, M&A and planning
• You will be a superior communicator and have proven experience supporting and partnering senior executives
• High achievement drive, with the ability to hit the ground running in a fast paced and growing business will be critical to your success
