The Opportunity: Commercial Lead in the Business Transformation Team.
The PTA is gearing up for a ground-breaking initiative—the Business Transformation Program. This program aims to reshape our corporate operating model, structures, and technology, enhancing our work methodologies and optimising the use of financial, human, and asset data. To achieve this ambitious goal, we need additional resources, especially to replace our aging legacy systems.
About the Role:
As the Commercial Lead, you will use your expertise to develop and implement commercial strategies and plans and oversee all commercial aspects for the Program to successfully contribute to its delivery. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact and drive strategic change within the PTA.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Collaborating with key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive procurement strategy for the Business Transformation Program.
Leading the selection and commercial negotiations for the procurement of new systems.
Establishing contracts terms and conditions that optimise value for the PTA.
Monitoring contract performance against set targets and maintaining relationships with partners post procurement.
This is a unique 5-year fixed-term contract, offering an immediate start and the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on Western Australia's public transport landscape. The selection process aims to to fill the current vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.
About You:
The ideal candidate will bring:
Substantial experience in leading significant and medium risk contract development and management for organisations.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of building strong and lasting relationships.
Outstanding leadership skills, with the ability to lead teams effectively and provide clear and concise advice.
High attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively manage the performance of partners to meet the PTA’s objectives.
