About the Role
As a Commercial Maintenance Gardener, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and beautification of our clients' landscapes. If you have a passion for horticulture, a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working outdoors, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
The position is reporting to the Qualified Gardener, your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as edging, weeding, and pruning to keep landscapes in pristine condition.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering and efficient water usage.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as needed to promote plant health and control pests.
- Install and maintain landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
- Collaborate with qualified gardener to understand clients’ specific needs and preferences, providing exceptional customer service.
- Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols and identify potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
If you have;
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training or certification in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in commercial gardening or landscaping will be beneficial
- Good knowledge of plants, trees, and landscaping techniques.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, pest control, and plant care.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing landscapes.
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
